Golden Years 1934-54 : Kay Thompson

This CD collects a lot of archive recordings, and several are of very poor sound quality. It's interesting to hear these recordings by someone who had a very varied career as pianist, band vocalist, arranger, actress, and cabaret performer. I can't say any special quality comes over on this disk, but there are two songs which Dorothy Fields wrote with Oscar Levant, including one which is not recorded elsewhere - Out of Sight, Out of Mind.
